Salaam!
Went to the dentist again yesterday. Alhamdulillah, doctor said that Mr. right baby molar can stay. What a relief.. We always hear people say that "we don't know what we have until it's gone," I guess its true even when we're on the verge of losing something.
But my dear friend, the thing is, nothing in this world are rightfully ours to begin with, all is lent: everything in our possessions, ourselves, physically or spiritually, our senses, and even our hearts, are gifts, borrowed things that can be reclaimed at any moment that He pleases. From Him we came and to Him we will return. Talking about manners, when we want something we will ask of it from the owner, right? I am His and so are you... and everything else.
When we try to change into a better person, a better Muslim, sometimes we forget about our old friends, saying that they know too much about us or telling ourselves that its hard for them to change because we know who they were. Only now I realised that I shouldn't just let them be, like my teeth I shouldn't just discard them away. Hey who knows they can accompany me in this long road. Plus I need to 'print' my replacement too hee..
My friend, you're a part of me too, though can be a pain at times, but still you're pleasant to keep. Because to me you're my best friend, even if I'm not your friend =)
